- Make high quality risk assessment decisions (within acceptable time-frames to clients) within personal underwriting authority and the Life Mandate, by using detailed knowledge of all risk factors impacting the acceptability.
- Establish MR Korea internal management standards and guidelines for risk assessment risk assessment guidelines based on the Life Mandate
- Lead and performance manage own team to achieve business imperatives and meet clients expectations.
- Lead and support specialized underwriting services for clients, including underwriting consulting, underwriting case reviews, and underwriting guideline review.
- Promotion of the Munich RE Underwriting Automation System in line with Munich Re standard within a given timeframe and the implementation of projects in this field.
- Client relationship management – respond to or assist with draft responses to client enquiries / questions in regard to underwriting, product and other risk market matters.
- Plan and implement seminars, workshops, and individual trainings for local underwriters. Your Profile
- Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience at a direct life insurance company or reinsurance sector;
- Medical knowledge and non-medical risk knowledge (Essential);
- Financial underwriting experience within the reinsurance sector (Essential);
- Strong analytical, problem solving, research and project management skills;
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels.
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Solution-oriented with a focused, proactive, efficient and independent working style;
- Fluent in Korean and English, both in speaking and writing. (Essential) Benefits
