Job summary

Process Technician for latex manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Set up process/utility equipment (cleaning, line-up etc.) to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust operation equipment settings (e.g. speed, setpoint)
• Unloading raw material & shipping finished goods
• Incoming raw material acceptance testing & issue COA for finished goods
• Inspect/clean process equipment & piping periodically (vessel, exchanger, transfer line etc)
• Fix issues that might occur during the day or shift
• DCS operation
• Utilize company specific system (Quality system, SAP)
• Understand operating discipline/ update procedures
• Acquire relevant licenses (forklift, hazardous material handling, industrial safety etc)
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Maintain activity logs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or two year chemical / mechanical degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of previous manufacturing, or lab and chemical experience is preferred
• Experience working with hand tools is preferred
• For the Technical Production Operators, valid licenses such as hazardous material handling, industrial safety are preferred along with obtaining forklift certification
• Experience with operating mechanical equipment and computer software programs as well as the ability to learn and successfully operate other various machinery, both manual and highly automated equipment
• Will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, and to adhere to all safety standards, including the smoke-free and drug-free workplace policy
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as be independently motivated to produce results
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written communication
