    The Role

    :

    The Field Applications Engineer supports the development of new products and applications, the promotion of existing products, and the investigation of new applications for existing products through an understanding of the customer base and direct communication between the customer, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments. And resolve the issues at field based on the products and application knowledges.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    1. Product Development

  • Serves as the liaison between research and development and the customer to identify new product opportunities.
  • Researches and identifies potential technologies to be adapted to applications in our markets and brings technologies to the attention of the businesses.
  • Assists in creation of product specifications for new products and researches markets needs and potentials.
  • Develops test methods specific to the use of products and their applications, including the design, specification, building and maintenance of test equipment.
  • Assists new product development teams to design, plan, execute and present experiments and data.
  • Performs tests on products returned to Entegris from customers and makes improvement recommendations.
  • Plans and coordinates beta site test programs. 2. Technical Sales Support
  • Provides technical sales support for targeted territories and/or markets requiring concentrated support to capture or maintain business.
  • Visits customers before, during and after the introduction of new products to educate the market and pursue initial sales opportunities.
  • Provides, presents and interprets design, application and service information.
  • Supports Business as directed and provides a direct customer contact in situations requiring concentrated technical and applications support. 3. Technical Leadership
  • Researches and maintains expert technical knowledge of products and applications.
  • Researches competitive product comparisons to support the sales of new and existing products.
  • Collaborates with product management and marketing communications to write technical literature, white papers, manuals, data sheets and related product information.
  • Supports product training programs internally and externally.
  • Resolves the issues at field with production and application knowledge. 4. Process Management
  • Analyzes and implements process improvements that positively influence customer satisfaction. Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • Capacity to understand specific technical requirements as well as sound product knowledge
  • Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing techniques
  • Actively acquired more complex techniques
  • Proficiency in use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally
  • Travel Availability: Available for any other foreign country
  • Language Ability: Good English
  • Ability to utilize CAD/CFD/Minitab is not mandatory but preferred. Competency

  • More than 3 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or highly related field Your success will be measured by:
