Hauptaufgaben
Assigned to an outpatient clinic, performs professional nursing duties in the care of ambulatory patients with a variety of illness requiring a comprehensive knowledge of ambulatory care nursing, including obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, trauma care, emergency medical care and minor surgery.
Provides comprehensive nursing care to clinic patients based on the provider care plan and physical, mental, emotional and psycho'social needs of the patient.
Takes the initial health history on new patients. Provides emergency nursing treatment, for example, to accident victims. Prepares patients for surgical and/or diagnostic procedures. Administers oxygen, establishes IV lines and administers prescribed oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications and fluids. Manages nasopharygeal and gastric suction as needed. Performs gastric lavage and urinary bladder catheterization as needed. Sets up, operates, monitors and maintains specialized equipment such as cardiac monitor/defibrillators, suction apparatus, emergency medical treatment equipment, etc. Draws required laboratory studies, screens results and transmits information to the provider. Records and reports specific data to the provider. Provide individual counseling regarding minor illness and care regiments. Independently interviews patients and obtains medical histories in both English and Hangul. Independently inventories, requisitions and re-supplies medical equipment and supplies needed for the daily operation. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifikationsanforderungen
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have completed a three year/four year course of study in a ROKG authorized or recognized college or university in a field related to the job for which being considered.
Applicants must possess a current nurse license issued by ROKG.
