Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Data Center Development

Position Overview

We are a leading data center development company seeking a Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with direct experience in designing and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical system design, construction execution, and commissioning (Cx), along with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate effectively in English with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, cooling, and fire protection for data center facilities
• Design and review electrical single line drawing including GENSET, Loadbank, UPS/BATT, MV,LV ATS SoO(Sequence of Operation), containments, power supply and fire-alarm protection for data center facilities
• Apply BIM tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) to produce and manage design documentation
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, including site coordination and issue resolution
• Lead vendor and consultant coordination to ensure design compliance and project alignment
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and risks from a mechanical and electrical engineering perspective
• Conduct technical meetings and communicate with international clients and partners in English
• Document design decisions, technical reports, and commissioning outcomes
• Understand the fundamentals of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as applied to airflow, heat distribution, cooling and GENSET efficiency in data centers
• Collaborate with specialized CFD consultants to interpret simulation results and integrate findings into design decisions

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or clean rooms
• Direct involvement in mechanical system design and execution, including HVAC and piping
• Practical experience using BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks
• Experience in project management roles (PM or CM), including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination
• Hands-on experience in data center construction and commissioning (Cx), including testing, validation, and documentation
• Strong English communication skills for technical discussions, documentation, and client interaction
• Working knowledge of CFD principles and ability to collaborate with CFD simulation vendors or consultants
• Experience in power system modeling, fault analysis, and relay setting calculations. Ensuring system reliability and safety across various power distribution single line diagram in ETAP-based relay coordination studies.
• Candidates must have no restrictions on international business travel

• Seoul headquarters or metropolitan project sites
• Occasional overseas travel may be required

• 시공 및 커미셔닝(Cx) 단계에서 기술 지원 및 현장 이슈 대응
• 외부 설계사 및 시공사와의 기술 조율 및 설계 적합성 검토
• 프로젝트 일정, 예산, 리스크 관리 등 기계 엔지니어링 관점의 PM 역할 수행
• 글로벌 고객 및 협력사와의 영어 기반 기술 커뮤니케이션
• 설계 결정사항, 기술 보고서, 커미셔닝 결과 문서화
• 데이터센터 내 공기 흐름, 열 분포, 냉각 성능 및 발전기(GENSET) 효율에 적용되는 전산유체역학(CFD)의 기본 개념을 이해하고 있는 인재
• CFD 수행 전문업체와의 협업 경험 또는 기술적 커뮤니케이션 가능자

필수 경력 및 자격

• 기계, 전기공학 또는 관련 전공 학사 이상
• 데이터센터, 반도체 클린룸 등 대형 인프라 프로젝트 경력 7년 이상
• HVAC 및 배관 설계 및 시공 직접 수행 경험
• 전기시스템 설계 및 시공, 커미셔닝(Cx) 직접 수행
• Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks 등 BIM 도구 실무 활용 경험
• 프로젝트 매니지먼트(PM/CM) 역할 수행 경험 – 일정, 예산, 협력사 관리 등
• 데이터센터 시공 및 커미셔닝(Cx) 실무 경험 – 테스트, 검증, 문서화 포함
• 영어로 기술적 소통 및 문서 작성 가능한 수준의 커뮤니케이션 능력
• CFD 원리에 대한 실무 수준의 이해 및 CFD 수행업체와의 기술 협업 가능
• ETAP 기반의 계전기 협조 분석을 통해 다양한 전력 배전 단선도에서 시스템의 신뢰성과 안전성을 확보하며, 전력 시스템 모델링, 고장 분석 및 계전기 설정 계산에 대한 경험을 보유한 인재
• 해외 출장에 결격 사유가 없는 자
