    This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 4 Program located in Camp Carroll, Korea. The M2A3 BFV Mechanic will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR's Zero Harm program.

    Job Summary
    The M2A3 Mechanic performs maintenance service as part of the COSIS program, under the supervision of the Light Track Section Supervisor. These services are conducted on M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles (BFV) and other tracked vehicles maintained within the APS-4 program. Responsibilities include conducting PMCS, general inspections, component repairs and replacements, unscheduled maintenance, and servicing inbound and outbound vehicles.

    The mechanic diagnoses and troubleshoots component and system malfunctions, identifies necessary repairs and parts, and completes lubrication orders. Maintenance tasks include performing -10 and -20 level PMCS, removing and replacing sub-assemblies and components such as engine, transmission, turret, and armament systems, and replacing non-repairable parts. Additional duties involve servicing the Fire Suppression System, repairing or replacing modules, sensors, wiring, and extinguisher bottles, as well as maintaining pneumatic systems and components.

    The role also includes conducting road tests, ground guide operations, and emergency repairs. This may involve placing and maintaining vehicle decals, checking and replacing batteries, replacing tracks, cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors, and maintaining fluid and fuel levels. The mechanic is responsible for the care and accountability of assigned tools, equipment, and work areas, and may be assigned other duties as needed.

    Roles And Responsibilities

    • Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and work orders.
    • Be able to provide a basic tool set equal to a General Mechanic's Tool Set.
    • Ability to use maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and relevant technical and parts manuals.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.
    • Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
    • Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK Regulation.
    • Favorable adjudication of an NACI background check.
    • High School/GED plus five years of directly related work experience in maintaining and repairing M2A3 BFV.
    • Certification from a vocational school or other recognized source such as a military service-related Advanced Individual Training focused on track vehicle maintenance is preferred.
    • In lieu of formal course work, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered.
    • Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, heat and humidity.
    • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height.
    • Required to pass initial and periodic medical screening.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced Individual Training with a focus in track vehicle maintenance is preferred.
