    Job Title: Engineer_Marine Sales

    Business Area: Compressor Technique (CT)

    Division: Oil-Free Air (OFA)

    Report to: Manager_Sales

    Location: Busan

    Purpose of this Job

  • Sales and promote all types of compressed air system equipment to marine and offshore markets(both shipyards and shipowners) to increase and secure market share, brand awareness and profitability so that Atlas Copco Korea is an ultimate a leader in marine market in Korea.
  • Drive and realize customers' profitability and satisfaction by providing professional technical solutions that exceeds customer/ end user's expectations.
  • Duly execute action plans derived from the marketing & sales strategies from marine competence center, engineered solutions, also from standard products in order to achieve the yearly financial targets and long-term business growth plans.
  • Duties & Responsibility

  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets and/or markets and to project number of contracts to be made.
  • Manage and sell products directly to customers (shipbuilders/ engineering companies/ shipowners) and actively engaged in planned prospecting activities geared at increasing the customer base
  • Follow up new sales leads and referrals resulting from field or marketing activity and establish a close rapport through maintaining regular contact with existing and new customers (particularly target accounts from the marketing strategy)
  • Prompt respond to customer inquiries, introducing new products or solutions, studying customer needs and applications, and coordinating customer service
  • Prepare and present quotes (both budget and OTP), proposals, pricing, credit terms.
  • Present competitive and innovative solutions or package proposals with local sourced items if required. i.e. seek for unique and/or problem-solving proposals which could utilize our competitive advantages and do value selling to avoid price competition against competitors (that is, not just a machine sale but a solution provider)
  • Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up to help or support in identifying and resolving customer concerns or problems
  • Enhance a company reputation and brand image by consistently working to implement the company's core values of commitment, interaction and innovation
  • Prepare reports as assigned relative to activities, lost orders, closings, follow-ups, and other performance
  • Obtain and gather the information for competitor's activity, quote and proposal as well as target customer's business plans
  • Qualifications

    [Experience/Education]

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or marketing preferred
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in marine market with air compressor related companies or equivalent
  • [Knowledge/Skill]

  • Knowledge and understanding of marine & offshore business character and applications
  • Good command of Korean and English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM tools to solely prepare professional proposals and manage his/her sales activates
  • Good of sales presentation, planning and organizational skill
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
  • Skills for positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results

    - Busan

  • 1 Month ~ 6 Month of Training in Pangyo Office
  • After the Training, the position will be based in Busan Office
