    Hauptaufgaben


    Recommends consolidation of stock when necessary and where practicable. Monitors material handling and other equipment and ensures equipment is being properly maintained and serviced to complete daily mission. Receives supply items, checks to determine the kind, condition and count of receipted items for correctness.

    Reviews receiving inspection, and other reports reflecting discrepancies in quality, quantity, and receipt of incomplete, inferior, damaged, and material that does not meet specifications.

    Reclassifies material and processes supply discrepancy reports on receipted items. Checks stock for agreement with receiving documentation as to kind, condition, and count, description, size and weight. Routes discrepant material to PPP&M for action.

    Determines proper Type Storage Code (TSC) for new stocked items, inducts receipted supply items into Distribution Standard System (DSS), selects location, and stows stocked items in proper location.

    Analyzes plans and ensures high turnover stocked items are positioned in locations to expedite picks, packs and shipments. Ensures stocked items are stowed in the right location according to storage codes (hazardous, sensitive, radiological, humidity).

    Studies and evaluates the utilization of material handling equipment and assists in administering the DLA Distribution Korea material handling equipment training program.

    Processes Material Release Orders (MRO) DSS using radio frequency hand held devices, and mobile DSS Carts.

    Selects, routes, and prioritizes Materiel Release Orders (MROs) executes disposition instructions for items based on guidance, and processes sensitive and pilfer able coded stocked supply items.

    Analyzes and determines suitability of covered and open storage areas, item characteristics, commodities requiring special handling, aisle areas, ventilation, and packing-preservation needs.

    Determines, selects and applies storage and handling methods most applicable for stock.

    Selects and matches MRO with selected supply material items and delivers to the MIL STD 2073 researching proper packing and marking techniques and properly packs items for shipment.

    Demonstrates proficiency in adjusting supported customer pack lane assignments in DSS.

    Monitors and identifies problems; develops recommendations for improvements in storage operation such as verifying documentation, KCC(Kind, Count, Condition), Induction, SDR process, HAZMAT/RAD processing, Retrograde receipt process related to inspection and reporting of condition and serviceability of materiel, scheduling, controlling, and reporting of packaging and other cost-reimbursable actions in support of depot receiving operations and uniform COSIS.

    Participates in planning and coordinating storage operations, inventory control, receipt, Care Of Stock Items In Storage (COSIS), quality inspections, document control, distribution, and training assigned personnel to DLA standards.

    Appraises and evaluates supply data, analyzes performance metrics and other reports to determine trends and identifying areas that need improvement, further analysis, or corrective action.

    Provides recommendations to senior leaders to increase effectiveness and efficiency in storage or receiving operations.

    Assists in developing courses of action concerning workloads, manpower, equipment and space requirements as well as cost studies and makes recommendations on courses of action.

    Manages and releases daily workload for Production Planning and Control (PPC) in Distribution Standard System (DSS). Monitors inbound material projections to forecast receiving workload. Provides recommendations to division leadership on priorities, work center workloads and capacities. Monitors daily work center production to ensure work is meeting projected standards. Interprets and clarifies storage and receiving management policies, procedures, occupancy goal, and monitors techniques to all levels of management.

    Supervises quality control operations to include providing quality inspection expertise in all other areas as directed by the division chief and depot senior leadership.

    Provides quality control expertise to retrograde receiving operations (i.e., identify and classify inbound material).

    Provides Kind, Count and Condition (KCC) inspections in support of DLA Distribution verification policies in both packing and transshipment areas.

    Conducts QMF, MIS, and DSS research in support of established depot goals and customer inquiries. Serves as subject matter expert on storage space management and utilization or receiving operation. Continuously analyzes available facilities to ensure maximum use of available cubic feet storage space. Assists in planning surge capacity. Monitors space occupancy, tonnage, line items, inventory, and location reports to determine storage needs.

    Studies space requirements for amount occupied or vacant, additional warehousing or re-warehousing needs relative to quality, quantity, and type of incoming supplies.

    Studies and evaluates floor plans and layouts, to determine adequacy of handling space, arrangements, and accessibility; analyzes loading and unloading techniques, palletizing methods, surveillance and inspection practices, and control of receipt, release, adjustments and inspection documentation.

    Evaluates the utilization of material handling equipment and other storage aids in relation to space needs versus space loss and provides recommendation to effect changes and to improve productive capacity and efficiency in storage operations.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
