A multinational electronics manufacturer is searching for a Hardware Validation Engineer. The chosen candidate will develop in-region validation capabilities, manage suppliers, and initiate improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Establish one-on-one relationships with OEM customers to understand their requirements
• Negotiate test plans with customers and resolve any clarifications or issues
• Develop and drive approval of specialised validation plans for new components
• Manage in-region suppliers to develop validation plans, support testing, and review and approve test reports
• Develop in-region validation capabilities
• Audit in-region labs or suppliers as necessary
• Provide subject matter expertise to the design teams regarding automotive customer validation requirements
• Initiate and implement improvement projects to add capabilities, improve quality, or reduce costs of testing

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, climatic, and reliability testing
• Prior product testing experience (operation of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical test equipment)
• Knowledge of LabView, TestStand, or other test software development is a plus
• Experience in audio is preferred
• Experience in Lean or 5s is advantageous
• Experience in automotive is preferred
• Fluent level English
