    Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :

    This position is integral to the ongoing risk management and Corporate Governance, ensuring compliance with Local and Group policies and that appropriate Internal Controls are in place. This position also initiates and executes corporate governance solutions in co-operation with Sr. Manager of Internal Control and Profit protection and develops vision and strategy for the Internal Controls function.

    Key Responsibilities :


    • Internal Controls

    - Conduct the annual Internal Controls System (ICS) testing (internal control reviews) of key controls incl. the mandatory documentation in Teammate+

    - Report the ICS testing results to local Senior Management and Corporate Internal Audit (CIA) team, and coordinate with control owners to implement remediation efforts for all identified control deficiencies

    - Conduct ad-hoc risk & internal control assessments for Korea across all departments to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities, and implement necessary changes in coordination with appropriate level of management


    • Policies and Procedures Management

    - Raise awareness/maintain knowledge of the Global Policy Manual managed by Group Policies & Accounting Principles team, and notify local stakeholders of global policy updates

    - Request respective policy owners to continuously monitor, review and update local policies (in line with the latest global policies, if any), procedures and related internal controls, based on best practices and Group requirements.

    - Organize release of policies and maintain record of adidas Korea policies and procedures


    • Risk Management

    - Support the CIA team in maintaining the Korea market's Risk Register / Internal Controls Framework in line with the Group's risk management guidelines & requirements

    - Continuously monitor existing and potential risk areas, conduct process reviews to verify the operations' adequacy and effectiveness for identified risks, and support the implementation of mitigating actions for any detected deficiencies.

    - Coordinate with Group Risk Management & Fraud team to develop Key Risk Indicators (KRI)s and processes to monitor high-risk transactions

    - Respond to business process related inquiries from other departments and assist ad-hoc risk management issues as a business partner


    • Corporate Governance and Coordination with Global functions

    - Maintain the Local Authorization Matrix and workflow approval system to ensure SOD and manage risks related to key operational process and business decisions.

    - Support coordination of Corporate Internal Audits as required, and follow up on the audit reports to ensure timely and appropriate closure of issues identified

    - Conduct Process Review projects based on annual Process Review plan and identified risks

    - Participate in the Global ICS network incl. ICS calls, conferences, training, and sharing of best practices

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :


    • Functional: Experience of Internal controls / ICoFR /Audit / Risk management /Data analytics

    • Exposure: Finance, Internal Audit, Retail, Investigations

    • Strong analytical and numerical skills

    • Ability to work to achieve multiple targets with strict deadlines

    • Quick Learning, Ability to pay close attention to detail

    • MS Office – advanced, SAP – intermediate, Data analytic tool(Power BI, ACL etc.) - intermediate

    • Good communication skills in Korean & English

    Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :


    • CIA/CPA/CMA qualification preferred

    • University degree or adequate education level

    • Preferable experiences over 5 years in retail industry or in an accounting/consulting firm

    • Experience in ICoFR is a must and data analysis based internal audit is highly preferred
