    Description

    This job opportunity focuses on enabling Global South countries to have a say in decisions regarding climate change, finance, and the global fiscal landscape. The role involves exploring areas such as loss and damage, climate finance, equitable debt reform, and global tax reform.

    Role Purpose

    This position aims to organize staff, strategies, and budgets to meet the demands of each opportunity effectively. It requires attention to detail, rigorous planning, evaluation, and the freedom to explore innovative ideas and approaches.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Director of Programs in achieving the opportunity's outcomes professionally
    • Liaise with grantees to ensure the opportunity is executed as planned
    • Collaborate with team members and colleagues to leverage organizational capabilities
    • Manage the grant-making process, from proposal submission to reporting
    • Develop a strong understanding of the field and partnerships
    • Build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
    • Contribute to program strategies and grant-making practices
    • Oversee consultant contracts and project progress
    • Monitor and communicate project updates to the Director of Programs regularly

    Qualifications

    Essential: Degree-level education

    Desirable: Post-graduate education relevant to opportunities

    Experience: Several years of experience in the field, 5+ years working with national governments and development finance institutions, expertise in green industrial policy, tax, fiscal policy, and public debt
