NKG Korea is a local business with focus on client communication, import and distribution of coffee and offers all types of coffees from commercial mainstream to specialty qualities.

For our group company, NKG Korea Ltd, we are looking for a Senior Trader (f/m/d).
The position will be based in Seoul and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and manage FOB trade portfolios in Korea, ensuring sustainable margin management and long-term client relationships

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of trades, including shipment coordination, operational workflows, and trading desk support

• Support the development and expansion of new markets beyond Korea, contributing to client acquisition and portfolio growth

• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all trade entries and records within the ERP system

• Review, approve, and validate all transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls, risk guidelines, and regulatory requirements

• Develop and maintain a structured and strategic key account database, supporting client segmentation and commercial planning

• Prepare, review, and present commercial, operational, and management reports to the COO

• Conduct in-depth market analysis and commercial research, translating market intelligence into actionable trading and sales strategies

• Act as a liaison across trading, operations, finance, quality, and management, ensuring alignment and execution efficiency

• Contribute to commercial planning, budgeting, and risk management discussions, supporting the company's broader trading strategy

Your profile

• Strong leadership capability with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a trading or commercial team

• Deep understanding of the Korean green coffee market, including pricing structures, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics

• High level of commercial acumen, with strong attention to margin management and risk awareness

• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and administrative skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex transactions in a fast-paced trading environment

• Full professional fluency in written and spoken Korean and English

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally

• Proven track record in the coffee industry and/or commodity trading environment

• Experience in import/export operations, trade execution, or supply chain coordination is highly advantageous

• Professional maturity to communicate honestly, respectfully, and constructively, including the ability to challenge when necessary
