About the Role
We are seeking a commercially savvy, culturally agile Commercial Manager to lead our Korea business. You will take full P&L ownership of a lean, high-performing team and drive growth across both consumer (B2C) and professional (B2B) channels. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring local market knowledge in the small appliances category, fluency in English, and the ability to bridge HQ strategy with Korean market realities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Commercial Leadership
· Develop and execute the Korea go-to-market strategy across online/digital commerce, offline retail, and professional distribution
· Drive P&L ownership: revenue targets, margin management, and drive efficiency in focused customer base
· Translate global brand positioning into locally relevant campaigns and trade plans
B2C – Online, Offline & Home Shopping
· Lead e-commerce operations through distributors (Coupang, Naver, G-Market, etc.) and accelerate EC growth
· Build and manage offline retail partnerships (Hypermarket, Electrical Stores, Department stores, etc.)
· Optimize HSP (Home Shopping Program) in both NPD and current SKUs
B2B – Professional Market
· Develop the salon/ barber & professional channel strategy, working with strategic distributors
· Position the PRO brand as a trusted partner for Korean hairdressing professionals
· Manage B2B pricing, merchandising, and education/training initiatives
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and grow a small local team in Korea (Sales & Marketing)
· Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture with high autonomy
· Work lean – This is not a purely delegative role; You will be deeply involved in execution
Cultural & Corporate Bridge
· Act as the local cultural interpreter among Central team in the UK, Regional office in HK and the Korean team
· Communicate clearly and confidently in English with regional/global stakeholders
· Educate HQ and regional office on Korean consumer behavior, channel nuances, and competitive dynamics
Qualifications and characteristics
· 8+ years of relevant experience, prefer in Korea personal care / hair appliances/ beauty industry
· Proven track record in B2C (Online/ Offline/ Home Shopping) and/ or B2B (Salon/ Barber) channels
· Strong understanding in Korean retail (Distributors, buyers, EC platforms) and/or salon distribution
· Business-fluent English (Oral and written) – Able to lead Team calls, present to HQ & regional office, and prepare business reports
· Native-level Korean
· Culturally bilingual – Comfortable navigating both Korean business etiquette and international corporate environments
· Flexible to cope with different time zones to communicate with Central team in the UK and Regional Office in HK
· Entrepreneurial mindset – Comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
· Data-informed – You sell with confidence, but you also analyze sell-through, ROI, and channel profitability
· Collaborative yet decisive – Able to align local team, and HQ & Regional Office stakeholders
· Customer-obsessed – Genuinely curious about how Korean consumers and professionals use hair tools
