- Review and edit real-time news articles translated into Korean
- Build a glossary of specialized terms
- Handle customer feedback on the translation and facilitate corrections as needed
- Help troubleshoot digital publishing issues
- Find ways to continuously improve the quality of translation, including modifying prompts and exploring new tools.
- Participate in various projects to improve and expand the content
- Previous work experience in journalism or financial news editing
- Proven experience as an English-to-Korean translator, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge of finance, markets and business news with a good understanding of our audiences' interests
- Organizational skills and an ability to prioritize your work

Description
:Dow Jones Newswires is the real-time financial news service of The Wall Street Journal. We are looking for a Korean language translator to assess and help improve the accuracy and fluency of newswires and WSJ content that is translated into Korean. You will work in the WSJ newsroom to continuously review the quality of the translated articles and build a glossary of specialized terms.
The role requires fluency in English and Korean, strong command of financial and business terminology and familiarity with machine learning tools.

The position will be based in South Korea or other locations in Asia. Other locations will be considered under the right circumstances, and will report to Yumiko Ono, News Operations Editor, APAC.
