Job Title:
Advanced ScientistSummary:
The objective of this new position is1) To operate in the field of thermal interface materials, designing and developing technologically advanced materials for market back product requirements
2) Support Marketing to understand technical requirements, develop appropriate products and close the loop with customer during evaluation phase
3) Work closely with analytical and QC to generate robust data
4) Work with manufacturing and related adjacencies during product translations
5) Conduct thorough IP and Regulatory search and secure the technology by drafting Inventive disclosures and technical reports
6) Customize existing global formulations for local market
7) Periodic presentation of the projects to stakeholders, senior leadership and customers
8) Upheld Momentive's EH&S protocols
9) Ordering, storage and safe handling of chemicals and materials
10) P Maintaining high levels of safety standards and house-keeping in laboratory. Purchasing and maintaining equipment
11) Time-lined delivery of agreed results, both tangible and intangible, aligned to overall project management process for all the
participating projects
Responsibilities Include:
1) Work with marketing to create Desirability, Feasibility and Viability for new opportunities in TIM 2 (Telecommunication and Automotive) and TIM 1 (Semiconductor)
2) Lead the viability portion by creating technology backed hypothesis and design experiments to test and generate proof of concept
3) Engage with IP team to conduct landscape and competitor space analysis. Secure invention by drafting invention disclosures.
4) Undertake systematic study to convert ideas into prototype and work with marketing to qualify with the customers
5) Support the customer in query resolution and support towards customer acceptance
6) Work with analytical and QC for complete characterization. Collaborate with application development engineers for extensive testing of products. Engage in new method development if necessary.
7) Collaborate with multiple adjacent functions to take the material from lab scale to production
8) Follow the safety protocol laid by the company and contribute to maintain and seek opportunity for improvement
9) Engage with local and global stakeholders. Interacts with peers with professionalism and respect.
10) Ability to work on customer specific product development as well as collaborate with Platform technology team
11) Identify, investigate, and procure identified new needs in analytical, process, and intermediates instrument and equipment in multi-year step by step approach based on core scientific and engineering capability development.
12) Collaborate with corporate R&D for platform technology development
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
[ Minimum Qualifications]
1) Master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, preferably polymer or material science required. (PhD preferred.)
Fresh graduated are welcome.
2) Experience is in developing and implementing technical and process solutions at the customer
3) Must have laboratory work experience
4) Communicable in English and /or Japanese or Chinese
5) Prepared to travel occasionally
6)Passion to learn, staying up-to-date on technology developments through literature, training courses or seminars
7) Passion to understand global business process
8) Willingness to learn Six Sigma, DOE tools
9) Knowledge in siloxane, polymer or acrylate chemistry will be a plus point

1) Ideally, Minimum 5 years work experience in electronics related Chemical Company especially LED, Semiconductor and
mobile device, Telecommunications, Automotive etc.
