Job Description
-Responsible for upholding local FDA and Corporate Food Safety regulations, ensuring high hygiene and safety standards within the organization, and liaising with regulatory agencies and airport departments. This encompasses a broad spectrum of duties aimed at maintaining compliance and safeguarding food safety
-Tasks include developing and managing the Food Safety program, overseeing Business Continuity Management, and conducting safety training for all employees, with a specific emphasis on the Production Department. This involves creating structured programs to ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
-Leading QA and safety-related initiatives and These efforts are crucial in guaranteeing the safety and quality of products within the organization.
-Participation in regulatory inspections, reviewing and updating food safety materials, and monitoring safety performance are essential components of the role. This ensures that the organization remains abreast of regulatory changes and continuously improves its safety practices
-Defining and tracking performance metrics, as well as improving procedures for material and product conformance, are critical aspects of the role. This involves analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance safety standards continuously.
-Proposing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives based on emerging best practices is another key responsibility. This proactive approach helps the organization stay ahead of evolving food safety standards.
-Overall, the role encompasses a multifaceted approach to food safety management, requiring a combination of regulatory compliance, process improvement, and proactive risk mitigation strategies to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in food science, quality, technical or business-related field
-Minimum 8 years or more work experience in manufacturing environment or related field
-Audit Experience is plus.
-Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
-Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
-Proves experience in development and implementation of quality standards and quality process
-Strong sense of purpose, self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and positive and optimistic attitude.
