- Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
- Demand planner needs to take the additional role of Finished Goods Planner, works as a Finished Goods Inventory Planner on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of planning data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis.
- Manage the monthly medium/long term planning process and the weekly supply-demand planning process together with stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supplier) in-time for capacity planning and to contribute to smooth procurement of long-lead-time components at supplier level.
- Manage the integral inventory levels for the assigned product groups.
- Manage phasing in / phasing out of assigned product-types according to the actual PIP Process (Product Introduction Process) in close cooperation with product/marketing management and the industrial project team with the aim to introduce new products in-time and phase-out products without obsolete finished products and components.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- At least 3 years' experience in forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and supplier collaboration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to write and communicate in English required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
