Hauptaufgaben
Serves as a Facility Operations Specialist for the 65Th Medical Brigade/MEDDAC-K with responsibility of conducting quality assurance inspections and evaluating construction, renovation and preventive maintenance for the size of approximately 380,000 square feet hospital and 14 clinics.
Incumbent serves as the primary contact for all issues concerning facility operation and maintenance planning, evaluating, modifying and implementing required construction, maintenance and repair projects, fire control, environmental compliance and contract oversight within the Medical buildings and other support facilities.
Develops and monitors the fire protection, safety and various security programs, as well as contracts for maintenance.Serves as the primary point of contact and technical liaison pertaining to securing repairs and maintenance service, and improvements to the facility, grounds, and utilities.
Prioritizes service requirements of the facility, coordinates and directs the accomplishments of the services with appropriate activity. Performs continuous inspections and determines maintenance and repair needs for the new hospital and support facilities throughout South Korea. Uses a comprehensive knowledge of operating functions in identifying critical issues and determining how they may be resolved/accomplished. Plans, prepares and oversees needed improvements, replacements, and repairs. Evaluates, adapts or modifies current procedures and practices concerning property facilities, utility systems, buildings, equipment, plans and grounds. Prepares reports on the technical, administrative aspects of the program for the information of higher management levels. Determines deficiencies and identifies the need for service contracts where feasible.Incumbent has complete oversight and is expected to resolve all minor and major problems concerning the facility, equipment and grounds.
Conducts inspections for all systems which have been contracted out for repair. Prepares statements of work, specifications and supporting documentation for those systems which are to be contracted.Incumbent inspects and tests fire alarms, detection and suppression systems and performs minor preventive maintenance and repair to ensure operational condition.
Prepares reports on the Preventive Maintenance, repair work and updated regulations for the Joint Commission survey.Responsible for the completion of reports and maintain documentation of all work utilizing the Defense Material Logistics Service System (DMLSS).
Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifikationsanforderungen
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other substantive experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the next lower grade, that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
