    AWS in the Small to Medium Business area has an incredible opportunity to maximize our outreach and serve customers at scale, at high velocity, and in a cost-efficient manner through digital selling and programmatic engagement activities.

    We are growing our sales team to engage our customers of tomorrow as fast and as early as we can, to share Amzon culture of innovation as they look to transform their business.


    This role is responsible for managing multiple teams of Account Managers, Inside Sales team and Inbound Demand Generation team who will accelerate customer's adoption to the cloud from Small to Medium customer segments, drive long-term business and revenue by managing the full sales cycle to create opportunities and net-new workloads in collaboration with Partners.


    Your responsibilities will include manaing the career growth and development of account managers, inside sales reps (territory managers) & demad gen reps; coach the team to help customers success; develop sales plan and strategy for assigned territories and influence strategy aligned with customer's business objectives; effectively possessing stakeholder management with Solution Architecture, Business development, Partner Sales, and Marketing; lead and influence their team to maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive customer engagement, prospecting and lead generation.

    Key job responsibilities


    • Serve as a key member of the core Leadership team in helping to drive overall AWS Go to Market and Technical strategy.
    • Experience working with extended team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
    • Manage and grow the team by setting direction and prioritize working to drive key business metrics
    • Responsible for Sales & Operations for the functionality and maturity of the process to generate sales pipelines
    • Manage team efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
    • Meet or exceed yearly revenue and growth targets, and maintain a robust sales pipeline & reporting.
    • Develop and execute against a comprehensive business plan, and accelerate customer adoption.
    • Hire and develop the best and continuously develop top talent through skill development, coaching and mentoring.
    • Help the team create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
    • Be partner-centric and work with AWS partners to extend reach & drive cloud adoption.
    • Coach the team to nurture contacts, leads, initiatives, and opportunities from untapped portion of the account's organization/contact.
    • Manage the team to leverage various sales motions such as themed-play (service-line or vertical), partner play for wider account coverage, and direct outbound calls.

    About the team
    Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)


    AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

    The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

    AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


    • Prior experience with AWS
    • Experience leading larger size team
    • Experience with account management and solution selling ability
    • Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
    • Experience using data and trends to articulate business needs
    • Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment
    • Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing; understand and identify opportunities for customers
    • Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
