- Lead the development and implementation of long-term Asia Pacific Electronics segment roadmap and growth strategies that are geared toward developing greater market share and profitability, on a regional front.
- Develop Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for the Electronics segment and confirm linkage to subregional business strategies and action plan.
- Identify segment technology roadmap, customer unmet needs and assess AD's offering and positioning. Set goals to meet and accomplish these needs.
- Identify, set direction, and manage business development of new application and new solutions. Identify new products that have broad market potential and translate them to multiple customers.
- Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.
- Lead segment NBD team in exceeding objectives, particularly innovation growth
- Achieve maximum levels of productivity, ensuring that the business benefits from the lowest possible cost and best value.
- Responsible for clear, focused leadership to further reduce the barriers to delivering competitive advantage vs competition.
- Actively engage in duplicating best practices to increase business development efficiency and profit margins.
- Actively map out the value chain, engage with entire ecosystem, particularly brand owners for understanding of Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and solution spec-in
- Responsible for delivery of short-term and long-term results
- Develop a concrete pipeline of growth opportunities using Horizon methodologies.
- Positively lead and influence sub-regional key stakeholders, team members to partner together to achieve individual and regional goals.
- Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategic plan and team operating plan.
- Act as a team role model and change agent.
- Attract, retain and develop high potential talent. Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed
- Model and promote Avery Dennison's Code of Business Ethics and Values.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum 8-10 years of work experience with strong knowledge and network with focused industry segments, particularly with Electronics
- Ability to develop in-depth segment insights and broad connection w/ entire ecosystem
- Technical capability to connect trends and needs with prospect solutions
- Experience in providing leadership to segment initiatives across sub-regions
- Possess strong ability to capture and translate customer unmet needs to innovation idea and growth projects
- Strong customer focus and orientation and able to support and challenge a fast response solution set-up team
- Overarching competencies on portfolio management
- Must be able to champion new business ventures with strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
- Possess leadership, mentoring, training and project management experience and skills
- Excellent organizational, people, and project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
