    We are looking for Sales Manager, Energy and Process Systems (EPS) for Valmet's Automation Systems Business line in Korea.

    Automation solutions provider for Power and Process, Marine

    Valmet Automation Systems business line is part of Valmet Corporation. The solutions of Valmet's Automation Systems are designed to maximize the profitability of our customers' businesses by improving production performance and cost, energy and material efficiency. Our worldwide network of experts supports our extensive range of process automation solutions and services. We serve our customers in energy and process, marine industries. We typically offer turn-key delivery projects for Plant control and monitoring system (DCS and information management systems) including system hardware, software and licenses including project management, application engineering, cabinets fabrication, testing, system start-up and commissioning. After delivery project we provide our customers good local services to maintain and improve their plant control and monitoring system. Our main products are Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Industrial Internet, Plant performance monitoring, Advanced Process Control, Condition monitoring systems and Boiler diagnostics systems.

    About the position

    As a Sales Manager at Valmet, you play a pivotal role in leading the entire sales process and activities. Your responsibilities extend to working closely with project operations, service organization, product groups, and the sales network to ensure seamless collaboration and execution. You are customizing strategies that meet specific needs of our customers while effectively leveraging Valmet's business opportunities. Your ability to conduct thorough analyses of energy and process industries' markets and trends, with a strong focus on Valmet's Automation solutions, is key to our success.

    In this dynamic role, you serve as the primary communication point, overseeing customer care, and ensuring utmost satisfaction with viable contract terms and conditions within a competitive business landscape. Your expertise is crucial in driving sales of Valmet's Automation solutions to energy and process industry projects, encompassing both greenfield and brownfield projects. With your extensive market knowledge and proven expertise in control and monitoring systems like DCS or PLC, you drive the sales initiatives with confidence.

    Furthermore, you are instrumental in the development and growth of our partner business. This involves identifying, screening, validating, and managing partners' sales activities, thereby expanding our reach and impact in the market. Customer relationship management takes center stage in your role, where you prioritize the establishment and maintenance of strong customer relationships built on trust and reliability.

    Your responsibilities also encompass various sales-related tasks, from participating in exhibitions and marketing activities to delivering compelling customer presentations, preparing quotations, conducting sales negotiations, and successfully closing sales cases. Your adeptness in managing these tasks ensures a seamless transition to project execution teams, contributing significantly to our overall success and growth trajectory.

    To succeed in this role, you will need

  • Engineering degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Control, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven track record in sales, especially with DCS or PLC systems in EPC, end customers, and OEM customers
  • Experience in EPC project business sales, including proposal making and tendering process management, with knowledge in contractual terms and conditions based on end-customers' business understanding
  • Good understanding of energy & process automation markets, including power generation, waste-to-energy, biomass & renewable energy, biofuels, hydrogen, and oil & gas industries
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently to set tasks and manage priorities to reach the targets
  • High level of commitment, proactivity, and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Fluency in English; Advanced/Native Korean skills are a must and other Asian languages skills are plus
  • Availability for local and overseas travel
