- Provide financial support to External Supply, Third Party sales and Business Development teams. Assess make vs buy opportunities, comparing internal marginal cost and capital requirements to external sourcing cost and capital.
- Support the development of Third Party sales by assessing the cost of goods sold and identifying pricing strategies that maximize GSK return on investment.
- Responsible for sign-off of monthly, quarterly, full year profit and loss, and balance sheet reporting and leads target setting, financial update, forecast and plan across the globe and accountable for accuracy of actuals and forecast.
- Budget and track external supply operational performance, identify actions in case of deviations to plan and identify opportunities to deliver annual price purchase variance savings.
- Work closely across boundaries to drive process improvements to the end-to-end distribution performance on issues in relation to financial reporting.
- Provides coaching and development to the Finance team. Works across Finance to develop talent through cross-development opportunities as well as building Finance Partnering Capabilities.
- Lead the delivery of financial strategy across global logistics and the end-to-end regional supply chain.
- Active role in the development of end-to-end strategy across the globe with a focus on profitable, high return on investment growth and optimized distribution models across both vaccines and Rx.
- Provide leadership and work in close collaboration with the Biopharma and Sterile Manufacturing teams and the Commercial Finance teams to drive improvement in cost per unit and cash return on capital invested.
- Collaborate with the Broader Finance team in Pharma Supply Chain, Corporate and Finance services to anticipate needs and align on approaches in the fields of standard setting, transfer prices, accounting policies, finance planning and compliance. - Bachelor's degree plus a professional qualification (ie CPA, CIMA, ACCA or local equivalent) (consult manager on local equivalent)
- Previous Supply Chain Finance experience
- Experience with leading and driving transformational change and cultural development
