    Senior Accounting Manager, Finance, South Korea

    General Insurance is a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial and personal insurance customers. It includes one of the world's most far-reaching property casualty networks. General Insurance offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.

    As AIG Korea's Finance team, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and ability to oversee all aspects of financial information including US-GAAP,K-GAAP and Korean-IFRS. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, and will be able to support the company's senior management team by providing insightful financial information in a prompt manner.

    About the role:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial accounting

    • Monthly closing for shared service entity: Review and approve closing journals, ensuring timely reporting of all periodic financial information according to accounting standards (US & K-GAAP)
    • Manage internal and external audit process and tax filing for shared service entity

    Financial reporting

    • Support budget and forecast reporting on a regular basis for shared service entity
    • Monitor expenditures within budget and analyze business activities for efficient operation
    • Prepare financial analysis reporting for BOD meeting

    Any other business as required

    • Support financial closing process for insurance entity including financial consolidation
    • Manage intercompany business contracts with insurance entity
    • Possible to expand financial accounting position of insurance entity
    • Manage cash flow forecast and maintain liquidity for operating cash outflow
    • Maintain banking relationships with an account open/close and other related work

    Key Capabilities:

    Excellent numerical ability with accuracy and being excellent attention to details

    Professional knowledge in accounting standards

    Strong analytical skills and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Results oriented and highly accountable

    Effective interpersonal and communication skills in both Korean and English

    Key Experience:

    7+years' experience in accounting and finance fields

    Experience in Duzon and SAP preferred

    Fluent English skills preferred
